A year ago, the Children's Festival received a phone call from a donor. "I have a class in my community who has done some really great things, and I'd like to say thanks to them with a trip to the Festival - is that possible?" With that phone call from a generous donor, the staff at the Festival was inspired. What could the Children's Festival provide for individuals and small businesses that wanted to celebrate and honour the achievements of classrooms in their community? The question lead the Festival to developing the Adopt A Class program!
A contribution of $1,000 allows you to select a classroom from your community to send to the Festival for an entire day of fun, including tickets to select Festival performances and unlimited access to all the unique activities offered on the Olympic Plaza site! The classes who attend receive a unique experience in a fun learning environment - the Festival enriches a young person's appreciation of cultural diversity, creative expression and most of all, their ability to relax and have fun!
Are you interested in sending a special class from your community to the Festival but don't have a preferred school in mind? The Festival can choose a deserving classroom on your behalf!
