Festival Volunteer Teams
Volunteer opportunities may vary slightly each year as various activities are added to the Festival schedule. Following are some examples of opportunities that were available for the 2011 Festival. Please return here in February 2012 for updates.
Team Leader
If you are a volunteer considering six shifts or more, come and join our group of Team Leaders. Most of our volunteer areas require a TEAM LEADER to manage them and the volunteers assigned to them. This includes getting the areas going in the morning and helping to close them down at the end of day. In addition, you will meet and greet volunteers assigned to your area, provide them with an orientation, delegate tasks, ensure they receive breaks and communicate with the Volunteer Coordinator. TEAM LEADERS will also be responsible for contacting their volunteers to confirm their attendance the day before each shift.
Set-Up Crew
Festival Set-Up happens on Monday. Volunteers are required to help set up the Festival both indoors and outdoors. Duties include hanging banners, setting up the Volunteer Check-in and Hospitality Room, setting up tables and chairs outside, hanging signage. Lunch will be provided for set-up volunteers.
