Professional Development Master Classes

In conjunction with the University of Calgary's Department of Drama, these classes are offered to teachers, theatre professionals, and anyone interested in exploring various aspects of the performing arts. All master classes are for ages 18 and up and are conducted by professional artists.

A practical introduction to the world of puppetry where the notion of using puppets as a medium to tell stories is explored. Participants will be introduced to puppetry styles, manipulation methods, and construction techniques.

This workshop will be about using awareness of your body, your feelings, and the space around you as tools for believable acting and improvising on stage. It will involve physical movement, fun, and some improvisation.

Wear clothes and shoes you can move easily in.

Jamie Adkins is a highly acclaimed multi-disciplinary acrobat who will take participants through a series of exercises designed to explore the inner heart of a clown's spontaneity, physicality and sense of fun.
