The Wolf and The Goat
(Le Loup et la Chèvre)

Compagnia RODISIO, Italy

The Wolf and The Goat On this dark and stormy night, you are witness to the rare meeting of a wolf and a goat. Claps of thunder and flashes of lighting create urgency for the two to find cover, where they meet, far from home. Under the guise of night in a dark shelter, they don't recognize each other. Forgetting that they are usually enemies, they discover that they are closer than they imagined. One can only imagine what will happen when they meet again in daylight. Will it be curtains for the goat or will the wolf become a vegetarian? Like the wolf and the goat we don't know what is going to happen – do you?

Did you know?

The compagnia RODISIO's vision and performances are based on research and on the creative process from material gathered over the last two years, during workshops with children in Italy and abroad. It is precisely from images, words, ideas, hints, expressions which emerged during workshops, often from children themselves, that the company devise their performances. The theatre activity with children therefore becomes not just an occasion for exchange and education, but also an important anthropological analysis on theatre, beside being an essential moment in the creative (writing and directing) process that generates a performance.

An award-winning play inspired by the characters found in the Japanese novel "One Stormy Night" by Yuichi Kimura.
