Illstyle and Peace Productions

"Daredevil moves that delighted the crowd."
The Plain Dealer

Illstyle and Peace Productions is a culturally diverse, mixed gender dance company whose work fuses the movement and spirit of hip-hop with a variety of other dance disciplines. The company is a blend of some of the finest contemporary dance artists in North America today. Their work incorporates everything from street and club styles to jazz, tap and ballet to deliver its positive message of individual expression to worldwide audiences of all ages.

Illstyle and Peace – Performance Demonstration is an educational fastpaced interactive experience in dance that students love! Moderated by a member of the company the performance demonstration takes the student audience on a journey that explores the evolution of hip-hop and other styles of dance. In addition to learning the origins and history of some of the coolest contemporary dance moves ever created, students also learn about the role of the DJ, beatboxer, and MC. This is a funky hour-long journey that is highly educational and widely entertaining for both students and teachers. If your students enjoyed the Mayhem Poets last year, then they’re sure to love this dynamic, culturally diverse group of inspiring artists!
