Olympic Plaza

The Calgary International Children's Festival is a CBE DESIGNATED SITE
Enjoy roving performers, face painting, craft making, storytelling, and more on Olympic Plaza
A great place to have fun and a nice spot to sit and have lunch between mainstage performances.

Lunch Storage: Pack your class lunches up in a box, label it, and we'll store it until you need it.
Remember it is our ticket buyers who enable us to offer these free activities.

Open Air Fun

Face painting
Festive painted faces set the tone for the day!!!!

Hands On Playground
Games and activities encourage co-operation, participation, and fun!

Nylon Zoo
Choose a costume and be part of a colourful parade around the Plaza!

Roving Performers
Throughout the day roving performers pop up in unexpected places. Be ready to have some fun!

Whale Tales Storytelling
Enter a giant inflatable whale and listen to sensational stories from around the globe.

Clayground
Dig into some clay and create you own miniature masterpiece. Add your creation to the sculpture and watch as the world of the castle expands through the week.

Portable Art
Let your imagination run wild and create something cool to take home!

Safe and Sound Lost and Found Program
Festival staff work with security experts to ensure a safe Festival site. Drop by the Lost and Found tent to find out more about our safety programs.

The General Store
Drop by the General Store and you'll discover a variety of souvenirs, toys, T-shirts, and performer CDs at child-friendly prices!

Baraka Café
Baraka's on-site food and beverages provide for your needs during daytime hours. Proceeds help Festival Operations. Please support this long-time Festival sponsor.

The Lunch Box
Schools and groups can store lunches here while attending Festival performances.
